This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones ToeHaven uses, and how you can control them. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Some are needed for the site to work (for example, to keep items in your cart). Others are optional and only run if you agree - they help us understand traffic or measure advertising.

Your choices

If you are visiting from the EU, the EEA or the UK, we show a banner the first time you arrive. You can Accept all, Reject non-essential, or open Manage preferences to turn Analytics and Marketing on or off separately. Strictly necessary cookies are always on because the store cannot work without them.

You can change your mind at any time: use the Cookie settings link in the footer to reopen the banner. Turning a category off stops new cookies in that category; cookies that already fired before you changed your choice are not recalled, but you can clear them in your browser (see below).

Cookies we use

Strictly necessary (always on)

These keep the cart, checkout, secure payment and your saved choices working. They do not track you for advertising.

  • wp_woocommerce_session_* - links your browser to your cart and order data. Set by WooCommerce. Lasts up to 2 days.
  • woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart - tell the site your cart has changed so totals stay correct. Set by WooCommerce. Session.
  • __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid - fraud prevention for card payments. Set by Stripe. Up to 1 year / 30 minutes.
  • insait_consent - remembers your cookie choices so we do not ask again. Set by us. Lasts up to 180 days.
  • WordPress login cookies - only set if you log in to an account, to keep you signed in.

Analytics (only with your consent)

Help us see which pages people visit and where they came from, so we can improve the store. Only set if you allow Analytics.

  • _ga, _ga_*, _gid - tell visits apart and measure how the site is used. Set by Google Analytics. Up to 2 years.

Marketing (only with your consent)

Let us measure whether our ads worked. Only set if you allow Marketing.

  • _gcl_au - measures ad conversions. Set by Google Ads. Up to 90 days.
  • Google advertising / conversion cookies - linked to Google Ads conversion and remarketing tags.

If a category is not active on the site yet, its cookies are simply not set. We do not use Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest or similar advertising pixels.

Managing cookies in your browser

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you block the strictly necessary cookies, the cart and checkout may stop working. Most browsers also let you send a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal - we treat that as a request to reject non-essential cookies.
